Strategic Account Manager – USA


Integrum is recruiting for a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to drive growth of the OPRA™ Implant System to the U.S. market. The SAM will assist the company in establishing bone-anchored prosthetics as a standard of care and more specifically this position will drive sales of the OPRA Implant System by developing hospital programs and assist in marketing to patients and clinicans.

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for sales activities across key accounts in the US, under the direction of the VP of North America. They must be able to work in a team environment and lead key activities including: surgeon relationships, clinical training, distributor sales training & performance, hospital relationships, pricing, surgeon product training, and distribution optimization. The SAM also directly promotes the on-label use of the OPRA Implant System to physicians and healthcare providers in a clinic, office, and OR setting. This includes coordination with our prosthetic team to align surgeons and hospitals with our sales and support activities directed to the prosthetist and PM&R communities.

The OPRA Implant System represents a revolutionary surgical technology that allows amputees to be set free from the confines of a traditional socket-based prosthesis. It has been available in Europe for more than 20 years, and it is the only FDA-Approved solution that exists on the US market.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Working with the VP of North America, generate a plan of action to attain and achieve sales goals utilizing excellent sales skills, territory management skills, and customer relationships
  • You will use your sales abilities to call on orthopaedic and plastic surgeons, PM&R, rehabilitation, and prosthetists to promote OPRA Centers and the OPRA Implant System
  • Educate end users on the clinical benefits of the OPRA Implant System
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, decision-makers, and thought leaders.
  • Support surgeon training and surgical cases with a high degree of knowledge regarding surgical procedures, orthopaedic techniques and tools, and the OPRA Implant System.
  • Develop and manage account-by-account strategies in liaison with the Distributors Sales Team, to ensure  we provide the highest level of service support to the customer base, forecast our business and achieve specific sales / share objectives
  • Continually assess all aspects of OPRA Centers to determine areas of influence and take active steps to assist clinics in creating a large patient pipeline
  • Develop effective relationships with certain key customers and continuously improve customer relationships.
  • Deliver sales presentations to customer groups as well as identified new customer groups
  • Develop and communicate to our marketing team an effective PR strategy, feasible for use on a local basis
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, PHI, and AdvaMed Code of Ethics Regulations.

Required Background/Education/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or health provider degree preferred
  • 3 – 5 years of orthopaedic implant sales experience
  • Proven track record to assess customer needs and effectively present key concepts and recommendations to customers in formal and informal settings
  • Strong analytical skills to include pipeline management, territory analysis and territory management. Proven success with complex sales process.
  • Experience selling in an environment with multiple call points and decision makers within an account
  • Professional training program experience (i.e., Challenger Selling)
  • Good communication skills in English; both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic working environment
  • Travel requirements: Ability to travel 50% including overnight travel
  • Ability to interact with clinical and non-clinical personnel, patients, and caregivers professionally and respectfully.
  • A valid driver’s license with no limitations operating a motor vehicle
  • Experience with HIPAA regulations, Medicare, and insurance carrier websites.
  • All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role, must successfully compete our credentialing process, which includes COVID 19 vaccine management.
