RMSANZ 2019, 4th Annual Scientific Meeting

The Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand will host the 4th Annual Scientific Congress 2019, Melbourne.

The Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand will host the 4th Annual Scientific Congress 2019.  The RMSANZ provides a forum for Rehabilitation Physicians and members of the allied health, nursing and related medical specialties to share knowledge, skills and experiences and to network in South Australia.The theme for the conference is Contemporary Rehabilitation: Knowledge Translation, Collaboration and Community Engagement.

During the congress a workshop on Osseointegration and Targeted Muscle Re-innervation will be held on Monday, 21st October 2019, 1:30-3:00 pm . The workshop is facilitated by Mr Steven Gray, Advanced Surgical Amputation Programme (A.S.A.P), Alfred Hospital Melbourne

The A.S.A.P is a surgical and rehab program that involves surgeons and medical practitioners from the Alfred Health, therapists from Epworth Rehab Hawthorn, the Rehabilitation Consultation from Epworth Health and ProMotion Prosthetics.

The program treats upper and lower limb amputees; including Osseointegration with Integrum AB’s OPRA Implant System, Targeted Muscle Reinnervation (TMR) and soft tissue reconstruction.
