Henry Wallman 2019 Award Cermony

 

In June 2019, the Stiftelsen Medicin och Teknik at Chalmers announced Dr. Rickard Brånemark, Dr. Max Ortiz Catalan and Kerstin Hagberg as the receipients of the 2019 Henry Wallman Award. The award recognizes their work within osseointegrated neural controlled prosthetics (e-OPRA). Our press release published 26 June 2019 describes more about the the work that earned the award.

About the Award

Stiftelsen Medicin och Teknik at Chalmers annually awards an innovation prize in the spirit of Henry Wallman. The award intends to reward  younger researchers, graduate students or research groups, who, in close collaboration between expertise in technology and health care, have successfully transferred new knowledge from academia to practical medical care. The innovations may consist of a new or greatly improved product, method or process, and may have been developed in conjunction with a new or existing company, or otherwise utilized within health care.

The Prize Ceremony

The prize ceremony will take place on 11-December at Sahlgrenska University where the awardees will present their work.
